Fusion: ASG Superconductors revives its collaboration with UKAEA

After 30 years since the completion of the installation of the divertor coils for the JET Program, ASG is supporting the development of the technology basis for the STEP (Spherical Tokamak for Energy Production) Program, in an effort to enable practical use of fusion energy. ASG shall collaborate with UKAEA scientists in order to define the testing methodologies and plants necessary to ascertain the tokamak’s superconducting magnet performance, a cornerstone for plasma confinement and stabilization.
