Improved multifilamentary superconducting tape for MRI magnets

MRO+ tape was born thanks to multiple experiences Columbus MgB₂ unit gained during years. This special format collects together the results earned on high field powder optimization, solid wire architecture and robust industrial process. This format is suitable for the realization of compact and low cost 1T magnets, as well as other application where medium field are necessary. High-length batches allows to reduce the number of joint necessary for the system. Moreover, thanks to the high compatibility with MRO, this new format allows the magnet designer for coil grading optimization.
