SUPERB

Quadrupole prototype for the IR of SuperB

Genoa (Italy), 2012

SuperB is an asymmetric e+ e- collider operating at the Y(4S) cross section peak (10.58 GeV) with an unprecedented design peak luminosity of 1036 cm-2s-1. ASG Superconductors manufactured the cold mass of a model of the superconducting quadrupole for the Interaction Region of SuperB, successfully tested at INFN Genoa. The collider was supposed to be built near Rome, Italy, under the supervision of INFN, but was cancelled by the Italian government.
